We are always looking for swimmers who would like to raise funds for charity. From a school swimming team to indiviuals swimmers.
Back-a-Buddy-2027
Dates: March - July 2026 - MANDELA DAY
Venue: Internal CSI or The Village Safe Haven
Theme: This is always a packed and magical month. The greater community and corporate South Africa sharing in good deeds and the raising of much needed fundraising for NPOs. In July every year, we invite you to celebrate Nelson Mandela International Day by making a difference in our community. Everyone has the ability and the responsibility to change the world for the better, which works best when we work together to make a difference!
Mandela Day is an occasion for all to act and inspire change.
A few ideas.....
We have a maintenance list which can be shared upon request from Susan. We need the replacement of old and broken home appliances, bedding and towels, cleaning items and cookware. Section 18A tax certificates can be arranged, where required, by a corporation or individual, who donates to our home.
Our most important needs are cash-based items, such as annual education, sports equipment and club sponsorship, diplomas in trade skills for our school leavers, wages, petrol, electricity vouchers, hygiene items and doctors’ visits with medication and supporting items such as spectacles which are required annually. We desperately ask you to consider raising funds these needs as an option.
We would love our South African businesses to support us by hosting an annual Mandela Day internal fundraiser on behalf of The Village Safe Haven.
18 July, which is Nelson Mandela's birthday, was declared by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as Nelson Mandela International Day in 2010. The celebration of this international day recognizes and gives credence to the former President's commitment to human rights, conflict resolution and reconciliation.

October to December Annual Events

- No need to decorate your table this year. We have got this covered. Food and drinks will be on sale for the day. Please invite your friends. It is a beautiful morning together.

Every rider must enter with their own email - 23 September is the cut-off date.
Each rider to pay for him/herself. To link the rider to your team on our system they need to enter using a Coupon Code. This code will not affect the price the rider pays.
We ask each rider to raise a donation of R2500 or more. Please reference your donation payment as follows: NAME + SURNAME + 947 (e.g. SUSAN HARRIS 947)
Should a Tax Certificate be required, we need the following info: Name: That must appear on tax certificate, Address: Where the name on the tax certificate resides, Proof of Payment.

Theme: Every December we are so appreciative to receive the communities generous donations. From Santa gifts, to large corporate donations towards appliances, to our very special Christmas meal and New Years celebration. We appreciate the smallest of gifts and every little bit together makes a memorable December holiday for our family.
